Lift your voice in song

We had a area wide singing service last night at our church (Church of Christ at Katy).  It was so wonderful to sit and sing and praise God for two hours.  I thought I would share the lyrics from one of my absolute favorite hyms "When all of God's Singers Get Home."

What a song of delight in a city so bright
We'll be weft beneath heaven's fair dome
How the ransom will raise happy songs in His praise
When all of God's singers get home
Chorus:
When all of God's singers get home (God's singers get home)
When never a sorrow will come (or heartache will come)
They'll be no place like home (like heaven my home)
When all of God's singers get home (God's singers get home)

Having overcome sin, hallelujah amen
We'll be heard in that land o'er the foam
Every heart will be light and His face will be bright
When all of God's singers get home

One of the song leaders put it very eloquently when he said that it is hard for us to fathom what heaven will be like, but for him our singing songs in praise to God was a small glimpse.
