Petting Zoo

Cooper's preschool had a petting zoo today complete with pony rides. It was so awesome to take the kids there and not be run over like most other petting zoos I have been too. The animals were really sweet and not aggressively looking for food from the kids. Butter Bean was scared at first like any smart two year old should be around a mass of animals he does not know but he soon figured out they were not going to eat him and decided to pet them. He really liked the chickens and it made me daydream about buying land in the country and having my own fresh eggs... Anyway back to the here and now, the pony ride for him was not bad but not good either. I walked along side him and he had a look of distrust the entire time.

When String Bean's class came out I got them to put both of them on the horse and String Bean tried really hard to get Butter Bean to enjoy it to no avail. String Bean, however, looked like a natural up there on his mount. I might have to look into horse riding classes for him. Sounds more fun than soccer to me!
